What brought you to Degree in the first place?

I went to group training to learn more about fitness and new equipment that I wasn’t used to using in my home workouts. I have developed a strong passion for fitness in the past couple of years, but joining Degree Fitness lit a fire in me that I never knew was there. 


What was your first impression? How has that changed?

My first impression was great! Loni was amazing in my OnRamp program and Dylan was and still is a great coach and he made me feel very comfortable in my awkwardness on my first day. The 5:30 am group is very welcoming and it’s great to have a laugh first thing in the morning. I feel less awkward now and I’ve learned a lot from Dylan and Kelly in the 5:30 am club. 


What was your first "bright spot"?

I think my first “bright spot” was that I was excited to have just finished my first group training workout. 


What are you working on now?

I’m working on my running and trying to be more positive about it. Telling myself and others that I hate running is not helping me like it more. I LOVE running 😉


What is your advice for someone who is thinking of starting at Degree?

My advice for anyone starting out is to just do the thing, even if you don’t want to do it. If you just do the thing it won’t be so hard after awhile and it will just turn into a thing that you do. It will become part of you and you won’t be able to imagine your life without it.
