I started CrossFit because I knew I was in trouble. An old knee injury was flaring up and physio wasn’t really cutting it. I had to do something even more beneficial…

You got it! CrossFit.

I started with the Barbell Club and loved it. I was hooked. The coaches were awesome. Very supportive and never judgemental ’cause let’s face it… I was a real greenhorn! From there I did some personal training and graduated to the class.

And boy I was scared. Scared I couldn’t do the moves. Scared I couldn’t keep up…

But I tell you it’s the best!

The coaches are great and so supportive. It didn’t matter if I couldn’t do a move or keep up because you do what you can do and next time it goes better or the coaches show you how you can improve. It’s really not a big deal!! It’s not stressful because everyone is great and just laugh!

We have so many great laughs. Honestly I can’t remember half of them! I think my real first bright spot was my first Open…I did it! And not terribly awful either, lol!

I’m presently working on my kipping and darn it, I’m gonna do that rope climb too someday! But most of all my knees and general strength is a lot better.

It’s all so worth it!”
