What brought you to Degree in the first place?
I saw a post on Facebook by Larissa about personal training and I thought it’s time to start looking after myself and improve my well-being. I needed to get into shape and start taking care of my body.
What was your first impression? How has it changed?
My first impression was "holy cow, this is hard and intense." I realized quickly how out of shape I was. Now I can do more reps and more difficult movements and I don’t feel as out of shape or out of place!
What was your first Bright Spot?
My first bright spot was when I could walk out of the gym and not feel like my legs were going to give out on me. There were many days where I had a hard time walking up the stairs or raising my arms above my head. I hurt! lol
What are you working on now?
I am still working on strength, weight loss, endurance and just feeling well.
What is your advice for someone who is thinking about starting Personal Training?
If you are thinking about personal training, I strongly encourage they join Degree Fitness. Everyone that works there are very knowledgeable, positive and encouraging.
They make you feel good even when you don’t feel good. It’s a friendly environment.
