Written By: Coach Kelly At Degree, we offer
Group Training
classes (a mixture of functional fitness, weight training, bodyweight training and other fun modalities to help you hit your goals!).
Prior to hopping into these classes, we take clients through our
OnRamp Program
to not only help build up their fitness level before they begin their classes, but to also help them learn what movements work well for their body, what ones don't, and alternatives they can use in their classes.
One of the biggest concerns we have from individuals who are hopping into group classes is if they'll be able to do what everyone else does, or what do they do if they can't?
You don't need to be able to do anymore than you already can.
Don't have a pull up, yet? That doesn't matter.
Can't Squat Snatch, yet? Please, don't worry about that.
Running hurts your knees? You don't need to run (we have rowers)
.... and so on.
The problem arises as mainstream media and simply the world we live in has painted this picture that if we can't 'keep up' we're somehow "less than".
This couldn't be further from the truth.
Here's why Group Training Classes are one of the best places to be:
Small class sizes (8 people max)
Movements are always adjusted to fit where you are at
This is your workout. No matter what movement variation your neighbor is doing, what works best for you is most important
The camaraderie! We have so many different fitness and ability levels. Everyone is there to support each other no matter what.
There is always something to learn and improve on! If we were a pro at everything the minute we walked in, where would the fun be in that?
The joy is in the journey; the fun is in the fitness, and the friends you'll create.
I'll say it over and over again - Degree is more than a gym.
We're a family. From the minute you walk in the doors, you're welcomed in with warm smiles, kind hearts, and the most amazing people you will ever meet that want nothing more than for you to succeed!
We have a few open spots in our Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 630am classes, and Monday/Thursday 630p classes - don't wait to start!
