Now that we're entering a second lockdown in Ontario, we're hopping back on Zoom group classes and personal training appointments for the time being.
In March, we were all very, very hesitant with what to expect from the Zoom class experience.
I think we were all more surprised than anything on how they actually were pretty fun! Here is what some of our crew had to say:
"Zoom classes helped me improve my strength sooo much working with body weight I finally was able to nail my push up from my toes - never underestimate a good zoom workout even with body weight!!"

"Although I'd rather be right in the gym with everyone, I have to give a lot of credit to those couple months of workouts with Degree via Zoom. It was my only source of sanity/'normalcy' some days, AND my pushups and leg muscles both improved. Pretty cool. There were a lot of pretty tough workouts. It was amazing to still have the support from coaches and members when we had to be virtual."

Here's what you need:
A computer, IPad or phone (ie. Android or IOS)
You'll download the "Zoom" app on your phone/tablet.
From your computer, if you've never used Zoom before, you'll be prompted to download it the first time you click your link - do that!
Your Coach will send you your class/appointment link with a password
Simply click on the link and you'll be prompted to launch Zoom
Enter your password when asked
Voila, you're in!
Keep in mind:
Ensure your computer camera is on, as well as your tablet and phone
Ensure your speakers/microphone are working optimally
*There are buttons you can click on Zoom to 'test' them
From there, the flow of your class and appointment is the same as in the facility, but you are in your living room, bedroom, basement or garage.
We'll still be coaching you through your warm up, skill/strength work and your conditioning piece. We'll be giving you cues for movement corrections, helping you choose the appropriate weight/piece of equipment, and will keep you moving the entire time.
When faced with a challenge we can turn and run the other way, or, we can dive in and learn something new.
Learn that we are fearless, brave, dedicated and committed to our health, happiness, and getting our workout in, pandemic or not.
Let's do this, folks - see you on Zoom!
