Not everyone loves every kind of workout - and that's ok! The best kind of exercise is the kind you will actually do! This could look totally different for everyone.
Whether you're keen to get moving more right now or you're thinking ahead for 2021, here's some things to consider when you're deciding what kind of fitness program will be best for you:
Do you like working out in a group or on your own? If you like being in a group, what size of group (COVID precautions permitting)?
How long do you like to work out for at a time and each week? What will reasonably fit with your schedule?
Do you like working out at home or do you like getting out of the house?
Do you like doing your own thing or having someone tell you what to do?
Are you confident doing exercises without someone there to make sure you're doing them safely and effectively?
What kind of atmosphere and feel do you want in a class?
Think about the answers to these questions, and use them as a springboard as you look at different options.
If you love being around other people and having someone else tell you what to do, doing a workout in your basement by yourself might not be something you get fired up about!
Not sure if something is for you? Try it out and see! Your preferences, needs and schedule may change over time and you're not permanently "stuck" with any specific fitness or workout plan forever.
As you try different things, pay attention to how you feel, what you love about them, and what isn't for you. Did the workout leave you feeling accomplished and happy? Do you look forward to it - or at least not dread seeing it on your schedule?
We're looking for 2 people for our HIIT Boot Camp program right now who:
Want to workout in a small group (never more than 6 people in class at this point).
Can commit to three 30-minute workouts each week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5-5:30pm.
Like being around a fun and supportive group and leaving their stresses at the door.
Are looking for a fully coached program to make sure you're moving safely, helping you modify movements as needed for your body, and making sure your workout is effective to reach your goals.
