Weekly Member Update November 17 – 22, 2025

Hey Degree Fam!
We hope that you all had a chance to check out the new website last week, and stay tuned for some exciting new features in the coming weeks! This will include improved touch points for Members/Clients to ensure we are always on top of your training, progress, checking in regularly and overall continue to improve our service to you!

As we move into the middle of November, you’ve still got time to grab your Gala Ticket (last call is Saturday, November 15 for final numbers!), and check out details on your December Degree Pace Setters Challenge.

You’ll also find information below in inclement weather, classes/appointment switches and parking lot notes as we head into the winter season.

The weather may be getting colder out, but that doesn’t mean we have to slow down. Keep up the pace (no pun intended 😉 ), and see you in classes and at your appointments!

Stay awesome, Family!
– Your Degree Team

Group Training Programming; November 17 – 22, 2025

Monday, November 17
We are building to a heavy set of 4 reps in the Bench Back Squat today, mixed with Dumbbell Push Ups. If you have to reposition your feet to stand up from the Bench Back Squat, this usually means we haven’t sat back far enough. This exercise is intended to focus on the Hamstrings/Glutes, so the shins must be parallel in the seated position.

*This is a 2 week progression!

Retesting benchmark “Quad Dammit”. Find a slightly uncomfortable pace on the rower, but make sure to leave something in the tank for the last half of this workout!

Tuesday, November 18
We have a 20 minute interval workout on deck today; a full body day, your score will be total meters rowed. Let’s see how far we go!

We’ll finish with some accessory work for your shoulders as well as core.

Wednesday, November 19
“Buns & Guns” upper push/lower pull superset today! Take a few warm-up sets to get to your Barbell Glute Bridge/Hip Thrust weight, then start your working sets. Keep the abs scooped slightly (slight hollow position), and only move through the range of motion you need to get a glute contraction.

*These glute exercise variations are tremendously effective at building a strong butt, and exceptionally safe for our low back, so, put that weight on!

Our workout will include loaded carries using dumbbells; This stuff is sneaky core work and SO good at being functionally fit outside of the gym walls!

Thursday, November 20
This is the start of a three week wave of Rebound Conditioning Work, consisting of two tempo intervals pieces on the rower and one circuit. The goal of the circuit is to maintain a consistent, methodical pace throughout, so push yourself but don’t go too crazy! Weight is intended to be light, you’ll have an opportunity to go a little heavier as the weeks progress.

Traditional “Rebounding” work is done in a mini-trampoline, however, we can elicit the same response from our body using ground work exercises to raise our heart rate, and quick movements (ie. skipping, squatting and Snatch variations).

Pretty cool stuff 🙂

Friday, November 21
Final week of our Clean progressions, rounding out the weeks with Power Cleans!

*Keep in mind you are welcome to stick with the Hang Power Clean if it promotes better form! Better form = better results!

Our workout is a fast-paced full-body dumbbell couplet with Lunge variations and Push Presses. Take strategic breaks to keep output high!

Saturday, November 12
*See you at the Gala!

Split reps evenly with your Super Friend today! This workout includes back squats that are intended to come from teh floor an pressed over to teh back rack position, however, if that really feels yucky they can come from the rig. Your Coach will help guide you to the best variation for you today!
