Bobbie McIroy; for finding the belief in her Self that she can complete a workout at Friday Night Lilghts, and infact, crushed it.

Sarah, for organizing another fun year!
Our amazing Team Captains – Tracey, Gord & Eustacia!
our Coaches for leading us through these (fun) workouts 😉
James for making the Thursday Workout Viewings informative and full of tips and tricks
Everyone that was able to be an amazing Rep Counter (judge) and lead your fellow gym members to hit milestones they might not have thought they could.
And ALL of you, every single one of our Gym Members, for showing up. Whether you got one work out in, 2 or 3, or maybe this year was more of a “see what this things about” before next, and everyone that continued to cheer each other on.
We’re so proud of you, and so proud of this space that you help foster, and build up.
Next, we are excited to showcase our new office desk, built by our friends at Backwood Timber Creations. Their family owned business has been huge help to bringing the ideas we have for our space to life! Stay tuned for more updates to the office for even cozier check ins, and, keep an eye out to book a Reiki appointment with Kelly in the very near future!
Over the next few weeks you’ll also find a freshly painted floor, freshly painted front desk, front step and some touch ups to our rig and equipment.

Group Training Programming
March 30 – April 4, 2026
Monday, March 30
Starting a 4 week 531 Wendler Cycle for your Back Squat!
If you’ve been here a bit, it’s highly likely you’ve completed a Wendler cycle, or, if you’ve ever taken part in one of our Barbell Clubs you will have used this program. We love it.
The Wendler Program is so effective because it relies on slow, consistent progress using sub maximal weights, based off a 1 rep max weight (if you have one, and if you don’t, no stress!), which prevents burnout, reduces injury risk, and ensures long-term strength gains. By focusing on big, multi-joint lifts, using AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible) sets, it offers a sustainable, mentally simple, and proven approach to training
After we complete our Back Squats, we’ll head into a grip and upper body endurance workout included Farmer Carries and Hand Release Push Ups. Pick a weight today that allows you to do the full length without putting the weight down!
Tuesday, March 31
Retesting “AP Bio”!
We want to be able to do all movements easily and unbroken, so make sure we choose weights/movements appropriately! We are testing the ability to stay aerobic with global movements which means we are using oxygen as our primary energy source throughout the workout.
Wednesday, April 1
Starting a 4 week 531 Wendler Cycle for your Close Grip Bench Press!
Just like Monday, we want to maintain really, really good form. You’ll get strong, faster, by following the reps and percentages. Trust the process! We also bias the Close Grip Bench Press efficiently build lean (and strong!) triceps, and increasing lockout strength in the upper body. By using a narrower grip, it shifts the focus from the chest to the triceps and inner pecs while reducing stress on the shoulder joints.
Our workout is a steady, moderate effort circuit designed to keep you moving while challenging coordination, core stability, and shoulder endurance. The goal is consistent pacing across all three rounds, avoiding long breaks and maintaining smooth transitions between movements.
Thursday, April 2
This longer aerobic piece is about steady movement and consistent pacing. You should feel like you’re working but never redlining. The goal is smooth transitions and repeatable rounds rather than sprinting any one movement.
You’ll use movements like Front Rack KB/DB Carries, Dumbbell Rows and Skipping/Row.
Friday, April 3
Closed for Good Friday!
Saturday, April 4
Team Helen & Team Annie today with your Super Friend!
The first half is a longer, steady effort that blends rowing with pulling and hinging, while the second half becomes a faster-paced core and coordination piece. Work with your Buddyto split reps and distance evenly while keeping transitions smooth!

Double Dumbbell Row
You’ll find this movement in your Group Training programming this week!
