Weekly Member Update June 8-13, 2026

Hey Fam!
We hope you are all enjoying this sunny weather we are having! It’s absolutely AMAZING seeing all of you in rocking your classes and 1:1 appointments;

The summer season can be notorious for pulling us away from the gym. We get busy, kids have a thousand things going on, it’s hot, etc. et. etc. However, our Degree Family (you!), we know in our bones that the time you spend on yourself at the gym, whether that be 1:1, Group Training, Wellness Coaching or any specialty program going on, matters more than can be put into words.

From not just general improved fitness; you’re building and maintaining lean muscle mass, you’re drastically decreasing your risk of chronic and/or acute disease (think diabetes, heart disease, etc.) you’re likelihood of experiencing generalized back pain or other body aches is lowered. Notably you can do all the things you want – go on the run, go on the hike, get on the floor with your grandkids, play with your kids, help your friends move, do things around your house without help… so many things.

Degree has always been more than just workouts; our mission for all of you is what you do within the walls of Degree, help you outside to live the life you want, and feel good doing it. Keep it up!

Group Training Programming
June 8-23, 2026

Monday, June 8
Following a pattern we use frequently, we’re starting today with speed work to prime the Central Nervous System with our Power/Hang Power Cleans, then moving into heavier submax work. This wave will progress over three weeks so keep it light today and work up with a plan!

Our workout is an interval circuit using repeatable conditioning designed to challenge coordination, power output, and midline endurance. Your score is based on the final round, so focus on consistency early and then give ‘er in that final set!

Tuesday, June 9
This session should feel restorative, so focus on steady breathing, smooth transitions, and maintaining consistent movement quality from the beginning to end. The priority here is quality movement and keeping dialed in even if we don’t finish the workout in the time cap.

There is good variety to keep it interesting the whole time!

Wednesday, June 10
Week 2/3 of this functional strength pairing focused on unilateral control, stability, and positioning. We’ll switch it up today with a giant set of Single Leg RDLs, Weighted Side Bends & Seated Banded rows.

Our workout includes about 50 Back Squats… and that’s it. SO! The challenge is not whether the weight is heavy, but whether you can stay composed long enough to keep moving without putting the bar down. The goal is unbroken, which means pacing and breathing from rep one are everything!

Thursday, June 11
This session is split into two very different conditioning pieces. The first AMRAP is a strongman-style aerobic strength workout focused on grip, trunk stability, and full body power. The second AMRAP is lower intensity recovery-style work designed to flush out fatigue while keeping steady movement and blood flow. Have fun with this one today!

Friday, June 12
Week 3/3 of our Banded Sumo Deadlifts & Single Arm DB Split Jerks. Both movements should be fast, crisp, and technically precise, with the emphasis on velocity rather than grinding heavy reps. If the movement slows down noticeably, the weight is too heavy, keep it crisp!

“The Northman” retest today! The challenge is managing your grip, breathing, and shoulder endurance so that you can continue moving efficiently all the way through the final burpees.

Saturday, June 13
This weekend we’ll start things off with a Hero Workout – “Jerry”. You’ll complete this as written with Running & Rowing, or, there is an all Rowing option. Split the work evenly with your Super Friend and let’s get ‘er done!
