Even if you’re not working towards these specific numbers, it’s a great idea to do your best to stick to your current membership class/appointment numbers. December can be a tough month not just for the weather, but also sticking with your workouts.

Group Training Programming
December 15 – 20, 2025

Monday, December 15
Build to a heavy double in the Anderson Back Squat over 4 sets today.. This squat variation allows us to build serious power from a dead stop, without relying on the “bounce” from connective tissue that we sometimes get from squat variations. Set J-hooks so that you are close to parallel in the bottom of the squat and have a Buddy in place to help you guide the barbell back to the rack for each rep.

It’s time to join the “30 30 Club” again! Power Snatches should be on the lighter side, and executed with flawless technique. Take breaks as necessary on the barbell to maintain proper form. Go HAM on the rower!

Tuesday, December 18
Week 2 of this skill practice with pull ups. Choose whichever variation you want work on, or, do the same as last week to see improvement. Do small sets focusing on improving technique! The Banana Roll helps to develop control and body awareness.
*Not interested in Pull Ups? No sweat! We have other options, too!

For today’s conditioning workout we have two intervals, each with a set amount of work for the first two movements, and then an AMRAP for the rest remaining time. Pace yourself here, as you’ll go through this circuit twice!

Wednesday, December 17
Today’s strength day will focus on the Push Jerk for the first portion, and then a lower body, back and core giant set afterwards. This will include a new lunge variation, and inverted rows – remember, your Coach is there to guide you and help you pick variations that fit best for where you are now, and where you want to go!

Thursday, December 18
Cardiac output work today, moving at a consistent 7/10 pace, not rushing, but definitely staying moving the entire time. Toes to Bar variations should be done in 2 sets maximum, choose accordingly! As we often say, doing Toes to Bar with partial range of motion with the correct rhythm and form will be more beneficial long term than getting your toes to the bar, by any means necessary, which will increase our risk of injury and decrease your reward.

Friday, December 19
After three weeks of dynamic effort work with the Banded Sumo Deadlift, you should be in a good position to build to a heavy triple in the Sumo Deadlift today! Take smart jumps as you get higher in weight – have fun!

This Dumbbell and Skipping/Rowing workout should leave you feeling like need the 60s rest each round. Start on your weaker arm first for the DB Power/Hang Power Cleans, and make sure to alternate legs for the start of each rep of the Goblet Tall to Kneeling Standing. Aim to complete 4 rounds!

Saturday, December 20

You’ll be crushing this exercise this week in your Group Training class; keep in mind the bar can be raised up on 1 or 2 45lb plates (whatever helps you keep the most neutral spine!)
