Weekly Member Update August 31 – September 5, 2026
Hey Fam!
With August coming to a close, and work/life schedules potentially taking a shift, this is a perfect time to revisit your “why” for your fitness.
Why do you workout? Why is staying active important to you?
This is the thing(s) that’s going to keep you rolling even on the dark, cold mornings you don’t want to get out of bed, and the dark, cold afternoons you just want to stay home.
This is a perfect time of the year to do a little reflection, and a great time of the year to book a quick check in meeting if you need to re-discover your why, maybe your goals of changes since starting, maybe you want more practice at a skill, maybe you just want to touch base and validate you’re on the right track. You can email [email protected] to do so or text 226-779-6831 to book a meeting anytime!
With that, let’s cruise into September, looking forward to our “Try It Week”, another round of Fall Yoga classes in October, and we’ll be moving closer to our annual Degree Member Gala soon!
Stay awesome,
– Your Degree Team

Reiki appointments available!
This energy practice originated in Japan where your practitioner (Kelly!) uses specific hand positions, resting hands lightly on the body or just above to guide your body’s natural energy into a deeper state of relaxation and well being.
Clients often feel more grounded, find more mental clarity, find that the ‘noise’ in their mind quiets, and often come to simply give their body, mind and soul a little TLC!
Appointments are 50 – 60 minutes and are $75+tx. Including a short chat after to chat about what you noticed, what I noticed and how it all weaves in for your greatest good, and if you have any questions in general.

Build in the Zercher Squat across descending sets, increasing the load each round to find a challenging yet technically sound heavy double, with the goal of maintaining the same movement quality as the weight increases!

Tuesday, September 1
This is a longer mixed-modal conditioning piece focused on steady aerobic output, movement quality, and maintaining consistent pacing for the full 28 minutes. The goal is to settle into an intensity of about 7/10 early and avoid significant drop-off in your round times – you’ve got this!
Wednesday, September 2
Week 2/2 of full body functional bodybuilding style work! Everyone crushed it last week and really got the swing of the movements off the bat; great work! Build on that effort this week, Team.
We’ll finish with an aerobic style workout that was similar to last week in we’ll do a longer duration run/row and finish with a 300m TOTAL Kettlebell/Dumbbell Carry.
Thursday, September 3
Today we have an aerobic conditioning workout based on Joel Jamieson’s “rebound” protocol, similar set up as last week just different movements. The goal is to sandwich a moderately challenging mixed-modal effort between two aerobic pieces, using the final interval to bring your heart rate and breathing back under control.
Then, we’ll finish with our Deadlift work (week 2/3)!
Friday, September 4
A strength super set of lower body glute work and upper body chest pressing. Then, we’ll work in a 12 minute window with a mixture of cardiovascular work and core work. Lots of options for everyone to get a great workout in today!
