Weekly Member Update April 6 – 11, 2026

Hey Fam!
April showers bring May flowers… and warmer weather! A quick housekeeping notes on footwear as we move into a new season, then, save your spot in your upcoming Spring Wellness Reset class and new holistic services offered at Degree!

As the weather continues to warm up outside, please make sure to bring dry, clean shoes for working out. This helps us keep the gym as clean as possible throughout the week! We’ll still primarily be using the rowers/inside for our classes, however, on the nicer days you might get outside for your loaded carries or warm up walks/cool downs =D

See you in the gym,
– Your Degree Team

Degree Fitness Schedule 1

Group Training Programming
March April 6 – 11, 2026

Monday, April 6
*We are open Easter Monday!

Week 2/4 of our Wendler Back Squat work! If you were here last we we’ll continue to follow your percentages/previous numbers (that’s really important to this program!), if not, no sweat! We’ll help you find weights that are challenge, safe and effective.

Our workout is a steady aerobic strength workout designed to keep you moving continuously while accumulating upper-body volume. The goal is smooth pacing and efficient transitions rather than sprinting any single element.
Aerobic strength is a hybrid training modality combining cardiovascular endurance with resistance training. It builds muscle endurance and strengthens the cardiovascular system simultaneously, allowing for sustained, high-intensity output!

Tuesday, April 7
This is a repeatable interval session focused on high energy output and repeat sprint ability. The goal is to hit similar times across all 5 rounds while keeping movement quality high! Each round should feel fast and strong, followed by full recovery before the next effort.

You’ll use full body movements like Mountain Climber variations, Dumbbell Hang Power Cleans and the Rowers.

Wednesday, April 8
Week 2/4 of our Close Grip Bench Press!

Just like Monday, we want to maintain really, really good form. You’ll get strong, faster, by following the reps and percentages. Trust the process! We also bias the Close Grip Bench Press efficiently build lean (and strong!) triceps, and increasing lockout strength in the upper body. By using a narrower grip, it shifts the focus from the chest to the triceps and inner pecs while reducing stress on the shoulder joints.

Our workout is a barbell cycling piece that blends power, stability, and posterior chain strength. Each round is short, but the loading and reps will add up, so approach it with intention rather than rushing. Everything can be done with dumbbells, too!

Thursday, April 9
This EMOM is designed as a balanced, full-body conditioning piece that blends stability, coordination, and cyclical work. The goal is to move consistently for all 25 minutes while keeping each minute around 7/10 on an effort scale!

You’ll use movements like Turkish Get Ups, Kettlebell Swings, Russian Twists, etc., etc.,… All the #gainz!

Friday, April 10
Our first official week of our Sumo Deadlift Wendler Cycle!

Sumo deadlifts offer a wider stance that can reduce lower back strain, making them ideal for all of us, but especially if you have some back issues going on, longer torso, etc. This variation increases engagement of the quadriceps, glutes, and inner thighs (adductors) while shortening the range of motion, allowing for greater potential load and improved hip mobility! Feel free to raise your bar up on 1 or 2 45lb plates per side if that also allows for better form.

Our workout is a short, fast-paced conditioning piece where your goal is to keep moving and manage your breathing under fatigue. With only 9 minutes on the clock, you should come out with intent, but not so fast that you fall off after the first couple rounds!

Saturday, April 11
This is a longer Super Friend Chipper today that blends aerobic effort core & dumbbell work. The goal is to move efficiently, manage fatigue, and keep transitions smooth while splitting all work evenly! Have FUN!
