Weekly Member Update April 20 – 25, 2026
Hey Fam!
We are SUPER excited to share Coach Courtney’s OFFICIAL Degree email! As her services grow, we’re excited to have an easier way to inquire, book appointments and otherwise keep in even closer touch. Feel free to reach out to [email protected] regarding 1-1 Training Appointments and personalized Yin Yoga appointments!
We will also be adding in the opportunity to get outside more with our workouts! Continue to dress in layers, as it may be cool out but good enough to run, as well, if you prefer to do more running in specific running shoes, popping those in your gym bag is a good idea.
Stay awesome, Team, and let’s rock this week!
– Your Degree Team
NEW OFFERINGS!
We are excited to be offering two new holistic offerings right here at Degree Fitness in our cozy office space;
Yin Yoga
These 60 minute, 1-1 personalized Yin Yoga appointments provide a deep stretch for your entire body using props, guided by your Certified Yin Yoga Teacher curated to what you most want/need from your appointment.
*Client’s have the option of using essential oils during their appointment for an even more immersive experience*
Reiki Energy Appointments
“Rei” = Universal “Ki” = Life Force Energy
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique aimed at promoting relaxation, stress reduction, and physical or emotional healing by balancing the body’s “life force energy”. Using light touch or holding hands over the body, your Reiki practitioner uses Reiki to support your physical and emotional wellbeing, giving your body, mind and soul what it needs.
If you’ve been feeling pulled to give yourself some extra TLC, finding a sense of grounding, or even direction, both of these modalities could be a good fit for you.

Group Training Programming
April 20 – 25, 2026
Monday, April 20
After the last three weeks, we will be in a really good position to hit a new technical max in the Back Squat! A technical max is the heaviest weight that we can move without significant form break down. If our form is seriously compromised during a lift (pushing past a technical max), we aren’t really getting stronger, and the risk for injury increases; have a plan, stick to it, and let’s rock it!
Retesting “Nutcracker 2”, this is a short, tough descending couplet where the goal is to push the pace while staying efficient as fatigue builds!
Tuesday, April 21
This is a Super Friend interval-style workout where you complete a full round before switching. The goal is to push each effort at a high but repeatable intensity, using your partner’s work as recovery! (Thanks, Partner <3)
You’ll find movements that target your core, as well as Mountain Climbers, options for Skipping & getting the sleds out (weather permitting!)
Wednesday, April 22
Just like Monday, we are wrapping up this months Wendler Cycle building to a heavy single in your Close Grip Bench Press! Have a plan, stick with it, as your Coach for guidance and let’s crush it!
We’ll finish with a functional strength circuit focused on anterior strength, upper back development, and core stability. The goal is to move with control and intention while building balanced strength across these ranges of motion!
Thursday, April 23
This is a descending volume workout that combines cyclical work, exercises designed to improve hip mobility, strengthen the posterior chain (glutes and hamstrings), and teach proper mechanics to protect the lower back, and we’ll improve our shoulder stability.
The goal is to move at a steady pace while taking advantage of the built-in rest to stay consistent across all rounds!
Friday, April 24
Final week of our Sumo Deadlifts! Stay strong – keep tension – you got this.
“1/2 EMOM Cindy” today! Pick movement options that allow you complete work with no less than 20s rest each interval. This should be tough but allow you to recover slightly in between sets. Today not only is movement efficiency key, but transition time between movements as well! Choose options for the Pull Ups and Push Ups that allow you to complete the majority of the rounds unbroken.
Saturday, April 25
OK, today is going to be SUPER FUN!
This is a “Field Day” style session designed to test a variety of power, stamina, and aerobic capacity. Each station is an opportunity to do your best, so treat them as individual efforts rather than pacing across the entire session!
We’ll get to test things like our Broad Jump, Running/Rowing (those looking to increase their carrdio this summer – don’t miss out on today!) and a few other elements as well.

Plate Figure 8’s!
Start with bodyweight on this one and only add weight when it feels good!
