Weekly Member Update April 13 – 18, 2026
Hey Fam!
I was watching “Heart of the Sea” recently (a VERY good movie if you have a chance!) and there was a quote in it “The courage to go where one does not want to go;”
Now, this doesn’t mean we don’t come to the gym (haha đ ) however, I thought it was fitting.
All of you reading this started at some point. You made a choice, a decision that you wanted to feel different, a certain way, achieve a certain goal, or otherwise, make a change for yourself.
This required you to book your No Sweat Intro (usually feeling a little nervous!), come into the gym, sit down with whomever facilitated your meeting, and then get started on your journey.
That is courage.
Never, ever forget how brave you are, and how strong both physically and mentally you are.
You know that you can do hard things, and you know you’ll be OK, because you prove this to yourself every single class or appointment you attend. You are courageous because you took the step that sometimes people shy away from month after month, year after year.
And now? Man.
You’re crushing PR’s, improving everyone’s day that you meet. Your always learning new movements, refining other ones, and using your fitness that you build in the walls of Degree, to go out and live the life, and do the things you want out in the big old world.
Now, let’s head into this week, together, courageous.
See you in the gym!

Group Training Programming
April 13 – 18, 2026
Monday, April 13
Week 3/4 of our Back Squat wave. This week we’ll finish with 1+, where next week you’ll have the chance ot test a new 1RM or new heavy single! Trust the numbers, stick to the plan and you’ll achieve some pretty cool things!
Retesting this benchmark workout, âThe Trooperâ. This is a classic up-and-down ladder where the volume builds quickly, peaks at 10, and then comes back down, so fatigue will sneak up on you if you go out too hot! Settle into a smooth, sustainable pace early and aim to move unbroken or in very small sets on both movements.
Tuesday, April 14
This is a longer Week Day Super Friend conditioning piece built around aerobic pacing and sustainable effort. With the work split evenly, your goal is to keep moving consistently!
We have a new side plank variation for our extra credit today!
Wednesday, April 15
Week 3/4 of our Close Grip Bench Press! Build to a challenging 1+ today, and next week we’ll text a new 1RM or new heavy single!
Benchmark “Pet Rock”! This workout is all about midline stability, and managing fatigue under load. Youâll move through 5 rounds of unilateral carries and squats, so your core and grip will be under constant tension. Aim to complete each carry in as few breaks as possibleâideally unbrokenâbut be smart about when you set the bell down, because every drop comes with a special ‘treat’ đ
Thursday, April 16
This is a longer mixed-modal AMRAP that challenges your aerobic engine, leg endurance, and movement variety! The goal is to find a steady pace early and maintain it across the full 25 minutes.
You’ll use movements like Lateral Lunges, Glute Bridges and a few Hang Power Cleans in there.
Friday, April 17
Week 2/3 of our Sumo Deadlifts! Build to a challenging 1+ today and then next week we will retest a new 1RM or new heavy single!
Benchmark workout âExtra Schmediumâ. This is an upper-body dominant piece that blends pullin and pressing endurance. The rep schemes are designed to challenge you early with higher volume, then allow you to push the pace as reps decrease. Have fun!
Saturday, April 18
This is a partner interval piece where you complete a full round before switching. The goal is to work at a high but repeatable intensity, using your partnerâs effort as built-in recovery!
