What is your WHY?
Written By: Jackie, General ManagerWhat is your WHY?
In other words, what is YOUR reason to start a fitness routine?
If you were to write down your WHY on a piece of paper right now, what would that look like?
I encourage you to do this and stick it on your fridge door or bathroom mirror to remind you why YOU are worth the investment!
There are many reasons people begin a fitness routine or journey. Some of these reasons may include:
- Want to exercise
- Have more energy
- Lose weight
- Gain muscle
- Reach a new goal
- Have more self-confidence
- Able to play with kids or grandkids
No matter what your reason is, your WHY is important to YOU!
Here at Degree Fitness Seaforth, we ask our members their reasons for joining and we ask them to share what they would tell someone who is contemplating starting their own journey!
Would it surprise you that many of those answers have nothing to do with the number on the scale?
Instead, many of the answers we get look more like this:
- Realizing that I am capable of so much more that I thought
- Trust the process
- The staff are very knowledgeable and will adjust workouts for you
- The coaches keep me on my path to reaching my goal
- Everyone is so friendly and welcoming
- I look forward to walking through those doors
- Even when life gets hectic, that one hour at the gym is my time
- Personal training sessions work the best for me, and the coach is very flexible with my work schedule
- The people are my favourite thing about Degree
- The support, the laughs, the jokes, and the community is amazing
