For most of us, we think of multiple treadmills lined up in a row, ellipticals and stair climbers. Walls covered in mirrors with guys doing bicep curls in front, and women on the cardio equipment.
The style of gym we most commonly think about have people coming in and out at any time, and it’s up to them to make sure that the equipment is wiped clean after. Maybe these gyms offer different styles of group classes on different schedules, and you’ll probably find a big locker room/shower room for changing.
While there is nothing wrong with this style, it seems to be a nightmare for most in the media and headlines as of late with COVID19.
I’m here to show you another style.
Did you know there are smaller, boutique, or ‘micro-gyms’ out there that operate on an appointment only system?
Class spots must be reserved ahead of time, and you are checked in to each one you attend. Any Personal Training sessions are also scheduled ahead of time where you are checked into your appointment time slot. These style of studios don’t have hundreds of people in and out of their doors every day, or people staying for more than 60 minutes for their class.
At Degree, our group class sizes are already capped at 6 – 8 (max), with an average of 6 people per class + your Coach.
Micro-gyms are able to track the foot traffic in and out down to the minute each day. We sanitize every piece of equipment daily, and ensure it is wiped down by members after each class. Heck, we even mop the floor in each workout space after clients have worked out!
In my next blog, I’ll tell you step by step how we are keeping you safe at Degree. Then, I’ll let you know the best way to get started, even if you’re a little nervous!
Are you interested in join us at Degree?
See you soon,
Kelly
