Weekly Member Update March 9 – 14 , 2026
Hey Fam!
Way to go to all those that completed their second Intramural Open workout of the season! And, to those to complete it this coming week, you’ve got this! Keep in mind to tune into the Degree Family Facebook page Thursdays at 5pm for the LIVE announcement of each weekly workout! Tips, tricks, and the bonus point announcement included.
We’re springing forward this weekend with our clocks, and that means we are one step closer to the warmer weather we are all eager for.
With that, take advantage of the extra sunshine, and perhaps some of the extra energy you’re feeling. They key to a successful fitness program is consistency and sustainability – it has to be something we can do through all seasons of our life, even when ‘life be lifing’!
Treat yourself to a Restorative Yoga class in March, and make sure to save your spot in Barbell Club this coming April!

Group Training Programming
March 9 – 7 , 2026
Monday, March 9
We are on week 2 of our dynamic effort work in the Clean. Any Clean variation will work (Power Clean, Hang Power Clean, Squat Clean, Hang Squat Clean), just make sure you do the same one each week to see the progress! We’ll follow some heavier triples building in weight in our second section. All sets in the first should be no more than 55% of a known 1RM, or, light! The focus here is speed, precision, and perfect mechanics, not fatigue
**All work can be done with dumbbells, too!
Our conditioning piece is a series of short 2 minute intervals focused on muscular endurance and local fatigue. Your goal is to move for the full 2 minutes with minimal rest while maintaining clean mechanics. This is about sustained tension and control, not rushing reps!
Tuesday, March 10
Today’s session starts with week two of our gymnastics work focusing on skill development and positional strength. You’ll be able to practice some kip/pull up drills as well as single leg squat/pistol squat progressions. We will also have other variations, too!
*If you were here last week it’s a great day to build on what you did previous!
Today is a fun, moderate intensity mixed modal cardiac output piece designed to stay smooth and sustainable across all 4 rounds.
Wednesday, March 11
Week 2 with the Push Jerk. This week, we’ll build to a heavy double. Treat these as technical maxes, pushing only as far as you can with pristine technique!
This workout is a descending rep couplet with a cardio piece between each set (skipping or rowing). The volume decreases each round, but the added cardio after every set will challenge pacing and breathing! The intended stimulus is moderate to moderately high intensity with consistent output from start to finish.
Thursday, March 12
*Intramural Open 26.3 announcement!
Final week of our AMRAP work! We’ll increase to a final 8 minute window of work; if you kept track of your Cals rowed last week you’ll be able to find that in ZenPlanner on your app by searching: “260227B”
It’s also our final week of our Clean practice; ya’ll are looking SNAPPY so let’s keep it up!
