The Importance of Having a Fitness Routine

These last two years have been, to say the least, a challenge for many to stay consistent with their fitness routine. Remember when you committed to going to your local gym, sticking to your eating habits (most of the time), and then insert PANDEMIC … and all this seemed to go to the waste side? You are not alone!!
Fast forward two years and now people are finally feeling like they can return to their previous fitness goals. That sense of routine; going to the gym, going to work, kids are back in school, sports have resumed, and life seems to build a routine again.

Extended routine disruptions leave many feeling uneasy and uncertain. Having a routine established is good for both your mental and physical well-being! Kids thrive on having a routine! Parents function better when a routine is followed because it builds consistency and structure by being organized.
Slowly getting back into established routines that include physical fitness is important, not only for adults, but for kids as well.
Here are a few things to consider as you ease back into working out:

- Set time aside for you! Will it be early morning before work, on your lunch hour, or after work?
- Work with a coach that can help you rebuild on some of your foundations!
- Set a weekly routine you will stick to!
- Hold yourself accountable to look after yourself!
