A strong stable foot is key to improving your lifts.
You need a strong base to work from to keep moving forward to reaching your goals. Our feet are not something we think about often when it comes to our fitness goals. We hear the cues plant your feet but what does it really mean or what are we supposed to do?
If we plant our feet properly it automatically activates the glutes, building a stronger base to use the legs and hips in the rest of the movement.
Getting back to the basics is an important part of any fitness program, it’s not as exciting or as fun as working on getting a personal best in an Olympic lift or beating your time in a workout. But if we take the time to learn and practice it keeps the basics fresh in our minds and becomes an unconscious part of our daily workout routine. Our feet are a small part of our body but you will be surprised how much they affect our activities in our daily life and workouts.
Are you ready to get back to the basics with your feet to help you find that strong base to work from? Contact Coach MJ at
