Hey all!
We hope that you are all enjoying this amazing weather we’ve been having in Huron County this spring! The sun is beginning to shine, birds are chirping and the flowers are itching to bloom.
With this, it truly is the perfect time to think about what you want out of your fitness and health. For most, if we made January resolutions they are long gone, or, we’ve gotten discouraged and thrown in the towel. Spring gives you an opportunity to start again.
This might sound crazy, but hear us out – the less you worry about the outcome, or try to fit your fitness into a box or what social media tells you it ‘should be’, the more successful you will be.
We’ve been around a while (just over 10 years!) We’ve helped hundreds of people start a fitness program and stick to it; we’ve helped people spread their wings outside of Degree’s walls, and continue to help our current clients do just that – keep their fitness and nutrition simple!
The more complicated it is, the less likely we’re going to stick with it.
If you hate the food you eat, healthy or not, your’e not going to want to eat it.
If you’re workouts are boring, not moving you in the right direction, you’re not going ot stick with it.
Our best piece of advice? Just go for it!
Start to enjoy the process, the experience, and really give yourself a chance to see what you’re capable of (and we know it’s a lot!)
That, Friends, is where the magic happens.
We can’t wait to meet you!

What brought you to Degree in the first place?
I was looking for some motivation during the winter and wanted a new challenge. I also felt that being around other people would help keep me accountable and make it more enjoyable.
What was your first impression? How has that changed?
From the very beginning, I found everyone to be incredibly welcoming and supportive—and if anything, that feeling has only grown stronger over time.
What was your first “bright spot”?Participating in the Open was a great challenge and definitely a highlight for me.
What are you working on now?
Right now, I’m focused on building strength and staying consistent.
What is your advice for someone who is thinking about starting at Degree?
Don’t be intimidated. Everyone is so supportive and genuinely cheers each other on. There’s an energy that comes from training alongside others that you just don’t get on your own.
