How to Stay Hydrated!

Written By: Jackie, General ManagerHydration is something many of us struggle with daily. Water has so many benefits for the body, which may include survival, digestion, cell recovery, energy, and overall health.

Make drinking more water part of your lifestyle habits!

Here are a few quick and easy strategies that you can implement today:

  • Carry a water bottle with you at all times
  • Add lemon, lime or other fruit if you don’t like plain water
  • Practice drinking water first thing in the morning and before each meal
  • If you have trouble remembering to drink water during your busy day, set a time each hour to remind you to consume water.

If you are someone who participates in many physical activities, ensure that you drink plenty of water to replenish what you eliminated.

If you are someone who has a very busy day and often forgets about drinking water, make sure you drink water on your breaks or lunch.

Some people find that adding salt or electrolytes to their water may help to reduce muscle soreness and cramping – always speak to your healthcare provider, or reach out to our Nutrition Coach below for more specific information for your individual needs!

It is always recommended that you consult with your primary health care professional or consult our Registered Dietitian, Mairead at [email protected] to discuss hydration options.

I challenge you to make drinking more water a priority – You can do it!
