How Tempo Training Reduces Risk of Injury!

Written By: Coach James

Moving with better control and quality throughout a movement will greatly reduce your risk of injury. It allows you to focus on the technique and allows the body’s neuromuscular system to adapt to the movement and the weight loads. When using a tempo, you can choose a lighter weight and still get the training stimulus that you desire with the slower movement and pauses at the top and bottom, which leads to safer more controlled movements. Try adding Tempo Training to your workouts, you will be surprised at how effective this style of training can be.
You will also be surprised at how well this training can build strength and muscle hypertrophy, which leads to stronger lifts, better body control, and improved body composition.
It is always good to add variety to your training to avoid hitting plateaus and allowing the body to be tested under different conditions.
Give it a try, and see what you think!
