Some days getting motivated is easy! You wake up full of energy ready to go and get everything done on your to do list, nothing gets in your way! Other days you get done what you can with a little more effort and a pep talk but you still feel great.
What if every day seems like an effort, it is hard to move and get your regular things accomplished let alone get a workout in! How do you get motivated then? What is your way to keep going?
I’m not talking about the soreness we feel from a great workout, that is your muscles repairing themselves building you stronger, but people who live in chronic pain. It is hard to move when each movement is a reminder of it, sitting or moving some days feels the same.
This is where having a great support system in place comes in handy!
At Degree Fitness we work with you at the level you are at, we want to help you be the best you can be and that starts by walking in the door the first time! Before we do anything we sit down and chat not just to get to know you but to find the best way to help you reach your goals in a safe and efficient way. Together we come up with a plan to get you started to gain strength, flexibility and confidence to move in a way that works for you.
Chronic pain may never go away but if we can strengthen our bodies, learn to move in ways that keep them balanced and keep moving it may reduce the pain and allow us to enjoy life again.
Did you know that when we exercise our body releases endorphins which are the body’s natural painkillers!
As always make sure you talk to your doctor before you begin any exercise program, and be sure to let your Coach know what is going on with you so that they can program accordingly.
